Synopsis:

After moving to Japan to be with her boyfriend, Abby (Brittany Murphy) is immediately dumped and left not knowing what to do. She then decides overnight that it is her life’s ambition to become a ramen chef. Her teacher Maezumi (Toshiyuki Nishida) runs his ramen house like the military and speaks no English; Abby, herself, not speaking a word of Japanese. The two clash over everything until Abby learns that preparing ramen is not simply following instructions, but treating it as an art form which personifies so many aspects of everyday life.
